General File Preparation Guidelines:
Download the print guides found in this folder for best results.
Be sure to remove hidden non-printing layers to avoid them appearing in the final cards.
Submit each job as a single PDF with consistent page sizes, even for multi-page projects. Set correct orientation for proper backing.
We recommend avoiding borders near the trim edge since small trimming changes may cause misalignment. Always include a 1/8" bleed and keep key artwork well within the safety margin for every business card.
Only use high-resolution PDFs, with all images in CMYK color at 300 DPI. For black text, use C0, M0, Y0, K100 values. When using rich black for larger areas, apply C30, M20, Y20, K100 for true depth and prevent overprinting issues. For small black text, use just K100 for clarity. Be sure all fonts are embedded or outlined.
Our recommended color mode is CMYK unless your artwork demands RGB or PMS. This keeps color accurate on your cotton cards.
Thin White Text on Rich Black Backgrounds:
Ink shifts may occur in printing thin, reversed white text on dark backgrounds. Minimize with these tips:
Use the rich black formula C30, M20, Y20, K100 to avoid oversaturation. Skip heavy CMYK builds for stable color. Make knockout text thicker and at least 8pt for visibility. Slightly enlarge knockout areas to help white text stay sharp and readable.
Recommended minimum line weight: 0.75pt
Recommended minimum font size: 8pt
